Are you craving a tropical getaway filled with sun, sand, and adventure? Look no further than Boracay, a paradise island in the Philippines that offers something for everyone. Join us on our 6-day DIY trip to Boracay, where we soaked up the sun, explored hidden gems, and indulged in delicious seafood.
After settling into our accommodation at Lola’s Lodge in Station 2, we wasted no time and headed straight to the famous White Beach. Basking in the sun and swimming alongside the iconic Willy’s Rock, we felt the island's charm envelop us. As evening approached, we embraced the vibrant nightlife at Vhub, sipping on cold beers while marveling at mesmerizing fire dances.
Rising early to catch the stunning sunrise, we made our way to Bulabog Beach. We snapped photos by Boracay’s renowned leaning coconut tree for some Instagram-worthy shots.
Feeling adventurous, we decided to explore beyond the beaches and ventured to Roots For Boracay / Lugutan Mangrove Park and the nearby Ati Tribe Village. Opting for a thrilling ride, we hopped on a habal-habal to reach our destination.
No trip to Boracay would be complete without indulging in its delectable seafood. Making our way to Boracay Talipapa Market, we were greeted by rows of stalls offering an array of fresh seafood. With oysters, scallops, shrimps, seagrapes and crabs, we headed back to Lola’s Lodge to cook up a feast.
Venturing beyond the bustling crowds, we embarked on a leisurely walk from Diniwid Beach to Lambros Point, relishing in the serenity of nature. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we savored a mouthwatering dinner at Kasbar Restaurant in Station 1, indulging in a flavorful lamb tagine and Moroccan Spinach Pita Pizza while soaking in the picturesque sunset views.
As we moved to Belmont Hotel Boracay, we continued our exploration of the island, venturing to Cujos Keyhole and uncovering the hidden gems of Newcoast. The change in scenery provided fresh perspectives and renewed our appreciation for Boracay’s diverse landscapes.
Immersing ourselves in the laid-back ambiance of Puka Beach, we spent the day lounging on pristine sands and swimming in azure waters. The tranquility of this secluded paradise offered a serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, allowing us to unwind and recharge.
As our final day dawned, we seized the opportunity for an adrenaline-pumping experience with parasailing, soaring high above the turquoise waters and taking in panoramic views of Boracay’s coastline. With hearts full of cherished memories and spirits rejuvenated, we bid farewell to this enchanting island, knowing that Boracay had left an indelible mark on our souls.
As our 6-day adventure came to an end, we couldn't help but feel grateful for the memories we had made in this tropical paradise. From stunning sunrises to exhilarating adventures and sumptuous seafood feasts, Boracay had exceeded all our expectations. Until next time, Boracay, Salamat and see you again soon!
